Writer
A quiet, native macOS editor for writing novels.
You write on typeset book pages: the pages your book will be printed on. Each chapter is a plain Markdown file, in a folder you own. A finished book exports to a print-ready PDF, an EPUB, or a Word manuscript for agents and editors.
Why I built it
I write novels, and the tools I tried were either general word processors or busy dashboards. I wanted one purpose: the book. It had to be clean, fast and minimal, and I wanted to write on the page that will be published.
How it is built
Zig, with no dependencies beyond the operating system.
